Mar-a-Lago Staff Allegedly Moved Classified Documents Ahead Of Federal Authorities   In yet another blow to former President Donald Trump, Mar-a-Lago staff has been accused of moving boxes of classified documents ahead of federal authorities’ arrival at the Florida resort when officials went to recover them. The Washington Post reports that this was done a day before the officials arrived, and also that this was not the first such incident.   Sources say this action represents a “dress rehearsal,” a phrase that is bound to create more suspicion given the current investigation into alleged obstruction of justice. The issue of moving the boxes also extends the timeline shaping the former president’s alleged actions.   The subpoena was related to more than 100 classified documents found by authorities when they conducted a search of the former president’s Mar-a-Lago residence in 2020. As it stands now, Trump is under federal investigation over these documents’ discovery, and this latest revelation represents a new line of enquiry.   Additionally, Trump is also being investigated for possible involvement in the January 6 Capitol hill attacks and is under electoral investigations in Georgia. There is also his recent indictment on 34 counts of falsifying business records in New York, a case linked to hush money payments.    The Washington Post report also claims there is evidence that Trump displayed some of the classified materials to third parties, and the much-talked-about move of documents to a storage room could be a clear indication of obstruction of justice. Federal authorities consider gathering classified information and displaying it to unauthorized individuals to be a severe offense and a direct violation of the Espionage Act and related laws.    Mar-a-Lago staff has previously been reported to have run a “dress rehearsal” when moving documents related to a subpoena in May 2020 concerning the previous 2016 election.   The grand jury involved in this case has been hearing substantial evidence, and sources claim that a decision about whether or not to charge the former president is expected soon.    Trump’s team has not responded to these new developments. However, this legal situation will further affect the former president’s reputation and underscore his disregard for legal limitations and handling sensitive documents.    The coming weeks will bring more clarity and possibly another legal tussle for the former president, who seems to be struggling continuously to shake off the allegations of criminal actions.
