Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is set to make his first public appearance since leaving the network at a fundraising event for Rainbow Omega, an organisation supporting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The event is due to take place in Oxford, Alabama on 9 December.

According to reports, Carlson recently left Fox News after disagreements with the network’s vocal stance on Covid-19 vaccinations. Since then, he has remained largely quiet on the topic, and this will be his first opportunity to address his supporters and critics alike.

Rainbow Omega is a charity that provides a home for adults with developmental disabilities in a Christian environment. The organisation states that it believes in the “sanctity, dignity and worth of each person” and that the funds raised from the event will go directly towards supporting its residents.

The event will not only provide an opportunity for Carlson to speak to his supporters but also for the man himself to reflect on his departure from Fox News and his future plans. Carlson has remained one of the most influential voices on the right, with many praising his ability to raise important issues and challenge mainstream narratives.

Critics, however, have accused Carlson of racist and sexist language in the past, and have called for him to be held accountable for his comments. Nevertheless, Carlson has remained a popular figure among conservative circles, with many seeing him as a champion of free speech and an important voice in the fight against political correctness.

Tickets for the fundraising event range from $65 to $80, with proceeds going towards supporting the work of Rainbow Omega. The event is likely to be highly anticipated by many, as Carlson’s departure from Fox News has left a significant void in the conservative media landscape. Whether he will continue to push forward with his views on immigration and race, or take a different tack, remains to be seen.
